I could never understand how folks could pick up their Heineken pots filled with boiling water with only the thin wrapping of fiberglass wick. I wrapped one and there was no way I could pick it with my bare hands. The fiberglass has got to be 212 degres just like the water inside the pot. The 3rd item to be added is the 3" silicone disc that you see being used in the above video. I use it to hold the pot firm on top of the lid so I can attach the pot grabber without knocking the pot off the stove. You can place it under the pot after it is taken off the stove to help steady the pot while emptying the water. You can also place your stove on top of it if you wish . Handy little item.
